Legacy Foundation

Our website has grown so much over the years that it was time to redesign it to better serve you. We received a grant from Legacy Foundation, Lake County's Community Foundation, to redesign our site to improve its function and design. We reorganized the content into 4 major areas of interest and we made the navigation and page layout more consistent throughout. As we continue to add more and more information we always welcome your input. If you have an event listing or a website to which you think we should link, just send us your information.

Phil Ponce

Phil Ponce is a well known journalist and Chicago Television personality.  He grew up in Indiana Harbor and graduated from Bishop Noll Institute in 1967.  He has worked for WTTW public television as the Chicago Tonight anchor for many years and has written columns for the Chicago Tribune and received numerous journalism awards.
